‘We Are Zombies’ Delivers Classic Gore to SCREAMBOX Today! (Trailer)

What happens when the undead return? The filmmaking collective RKSS (known for Turbo Kid and Summer of ’84) offers a unique spin on zombies with their latest horror-comedy, We Are Zombies. Available for streaming on all VOD platforms and SCREAMBOX today, this film takes a fresh approach to the classic undead genre.

Set in a city overrun by “living-impaired” zombies (who aren’t interested in human flesh), the story follows three slackers on a quest for quick cash. They must confront petty criminals and a sinister megacorporation to rescue their kidnapped grandmother. Catch the official We Are Zombies trailer below.

Directed and written by the Canadian trio François Simard, Anouk Whissell, and Yoann-Karl Whissell, the film is based on the comic book series The Zombies That Ate the World. The cast includes Alexandre Nachi (1991), Derek Johns (The Boys), Megan Peta Hill (Riverdale), Vincent Leclerc (The Revenant), Benz Antoine (Death Race), and Carlo Mestroni (Assassin’s Creed II).

We Are Zombies has already made waves at the Fantasia International Film Festival, Sitges Film Festival, and Fantastic Fest, earning comparisons to fan favorites like Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, and Warm Bodies.

Now part of SCREAMBOX’s diverse horror lineup, We Are Zombies joins other unique titles such as Terrifier 2, RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop, Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls, Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story, The Outwaters, Living with Chucky, Creepypasta, Frogman, and Pennywise: The Story of IT.
