Expect a nifty mix of terror and laughs as the filmmakers of the Slasher-comedy Freaky get back together again for Netflix’s Time Cut. Called a comedy science fiction Slasher akin to Back to the Future directed by Wes Craven, Scream, the film shall roll out on October 30, 2024.
Written and directed by Hannah Macpherson, best known for Into the Dark, Time Cut also stars Dan and Michael Kennedy writers of Freaky and It’s a Wonderful Knife. It seems that such a conception combined Kennedy’s two basic yet prominent gifts – the fly-on-the-wall capability of quite dark, horror-based storytelling to both amuse and scare.
When it comes to horror, Time Cut Slashes smashes its way onto Netflix just in time for the release of the Halloween season. Such an interesting concept and, of course, the right cast means that all lovers of the horror genre will surely watch this movie.
In Time Cut, a gripping new addition to the Slasher genre, a teenage girl embarks on a harrowing journey back to the early 2000s with a singular mission: to stop the dangerous murderer from killing her sister. This is more complex than your usual time travel; the main character has this mission to complete and risks being trapped in the past permanently as she battles against time to save her family.
Although fans expect the trailer, Entertainment Weekly has revealed another image. This teaser suggests that the film may be decidedly different from other Slashers while offering the humor expected from the franchise.
