FX renewed the Ryan Murphy sitcom for three more seasons in January 2020, confirming the following season.
FX chairman John Landgraf said in a statement, “Ryan and Brad are the undisputed masters of horror TV shows.” American Horror Story is the highest-rated show on FX and has been for over a decade. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy was pleased with Kardashian’s “well-received 2021 hosting gig on Saturday Night Live” and had started speaking with the reality star “last summer about crafting a unique role for her scripted TV debut.”
Cara Delevingne joined the cast in April 2023, although she has yet to share any information about her role.
Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, and Denis O’Hare were all confirmed to participate in the upcoming season by the teaser that premiered on September 6.
