Ross Duffer continued, “[It’s] preparing us for a complete circle return to Season 1. Not just with Will, but with a few of the character arcs as well, I believe you’ll see that. However, there are still issues with Steve and Nancy, as well as her connection with Jonathan. The trip for the characters hasn’t ended yet, even though they may have made progress, as in Will’s case. All of that will be really important as we attempt to wrap up this upcoming season.
