Vertiv shares climbed 2.9% to EUR 178.68 on Monday, a modest bounce that leaves the data-center infrastructure specialist far below its 52-week high of EUR 324.20 — roughly 45% lower after months of consolidation. Investors now have a crowded calendar to work through: quarterly results, a fresh European acquisition, and a new simulation partnership all land within days of each other.
The company confirmed Monday that it has closed its purchase of King Environmental Services Ltd. (KES), an Irish specialist founded in 2002 with sites near Dublin and Frankfurt. KES brings fluid management, commissioning, and thermal and electrical load testing for liquid-cooled, high-density data centers across EMEA into Vertiv’s service portfolio. Terms were not disclosed, and Vertiv said the deal will have no material impact on its financial results.
The bolt-on follows the 2025 acquisition of PurgeRite, which built out Vertiv’s service footprint in North America. CEO Giordano Albertazzi framed the logic around density: as rack power climbs, hands-on execution at the customer site matters more, not less.
Simulation Before Shovels
On the technology side, Dassault Systèmes and Vertiv announced a collaboration on Thursday, according to media reports, aimed at configuring, simulating, and validating AI-factory infrastructure before construction even begins. The plan links Dassault’s 3DEXPERIENCE platform with Vertiv’s infrastructure know-how.
That builds on work Vertiv and NVIDIA presented on October 21 — an approach combining prefabricated reference designs, virtual validation, and factory-side installation preparation. Under defined assumptions, Vertiv says the modeled method could deliver up to 30% more cumulative AI token output in the first twelve months. Polar Data Centers is applying it to the first 41 MW phase of its project in Herøya, Norway.
Vertiv also rolled out SmartIT on Monday, a pre-engineered architecture for high-density AI workloads in both existing facilities and new builds. It supports NVIDIA and OCP architectures, per the company.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Vertiv?
The Numbers the Street Is Watching
Attention now shifts to Wednesday, when Vertiv reports third-quarter 2026 results. Guidance calls for net sales of USD 3.65 billion to USD 3.85 billion, equal to organic growth of 34% to 36%. Adjusted earnings per share are guided at USD 1.77 to USD 1.83, a rise of 43% to 48% year over year, with adjusted operating profit of USD 898 million to USD 938 million — an adjusted operating margin of 24% to 25%.
Consensus sits at the top of those ranges: USD 3.76 billion in revenue and USD 1.82 in adjusted EPS. The comparison base is a 22.6% operating margin in the second quarter.
Growth is expected to be led by the Americas and Asia-Pacific, where organic expansion is forecast in the high-30% range for the quarter, while EMEA is seen posting mid-teens gains.
A further date is circled for November 10, when Albertazzi and CFO Craig Chamberlin are scheduled to speak at the Baird 2026 Global Industrial Conference, according to a statement released Friday.
