Watch the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 ‘Reunion’ Filming Without Andy Cohen

The Real Housewives of New Jersey, as viewers know it, ended on Monday, July 15, when cast members of the iconic Bravo program met at their favorite hangout Rails Steakhouse for the network’s response to their canceled reunion.

The transition occurred after a shattered season that featured persistent rifts between costars Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jenn Fessler.

The East Coast reality series has never before skipped a typical reunion in its entire run. The only other occasion a Real Housewives reunion was canceled was during season 13 of The Real Housewives of New York City. Season 14 saw the series revamped with a whole new cast, with all of the season 13 girls dismissed in the process.

That seems to be an option for RHONJ’s future. During a live broadcast of his self-titled SiriusXM program, executive producer Andy Cohen hinted that a “rebrand” was in the works, but that no decisions would be made until far after the finale aired. “We’re gonna figure something out,” Cohen said, replying to a fan’s suggestion that they fire the majority of the group. “We are all on the same page about that.”

Cohen was not there at Monday’s recording, but sources corroborate what happened while the cameras were on.

Taking a leaf from the Vanderpump Rules season 10 finale, cast members — who are usually provided screeners of episodes before they broadcast, but lost that luxury this season due to well-reported leaks — were divided into two groups to see season 14’s last episode for the first time.

Fans are certainly aware that fighting sister-in-laws Giudice and Gorga have been separated. Giudice sat beside Aydin, Catania, and Goldschneider, while Gorga was accompanied by Josephs, Fuda, Cabral, and Fessler.

The househusbands, who are a mainstay of the RHONJ reunion, were not there. Last year’s reunion was mostly focused on the turmoil between Joe Gorga and Luis Ruelas.

Housewives often dress for reunions in ball gowns, but according to reports, these ladies opted for their casual lunch ensembles.

Though they were divided in two, cast members were given the freedom to roam freely between the two rooms, according to reports — but Dolores was the only one who took advantage of this, hopping into Melissa’s room for a short encounter with that group before returning to Teresa HQ.

The RHONJ season 14 finale, which was also recorded at Rails, is supposed to have many bombshell moments that culminate in a full-fledged fireworks show amongst the group. In fact, the RHONJ premiere opened with a teaser of the conclusion, with a devastated Dolores sitting alone at a table amid ruins, questioning how things had gotten so awful for everyone.

Monday’s last showing did not provide the same stunning results, but it did include at least one huge discovery that sent shockwaves through both rooms. Teresa has long believed that this moment would leave her “vindicated,” yet

There was also some unexpected closure to problems that occurred over the season.

Rumor has it that the ladies were approached individually after seeing the show with the invitation to participate in confessional interviews.

The RHONJ season 14 wrap-up special is set to broadcast on August 11, one week after the season 14 finale. Variety, which was the first to report on the tape, said that it is uncertain if it would be broken into many parts.

Though the franchise’s destiny remains uncertain, Cohen believes fans will be happy with how season 14 concludes.

“It’s in the great tradition of absolutely shocking, dramatic Jersey finales, and they have this final epic group encounter, which is like, it feels like The Last Supper and is just so Jersey,” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host remarked in June. “And it’s shocking and it’s dramatic and it’s amazing TV.”

“People will be talking about it for a long time to come,” he told me.
