‘Stolen Kingdom’ Documentary Targets High-Profile Disney World Thefts

Jeff Tremaine, the man responsible for creating “Jackass,” is the producer of the documentary.

Jeff Tremaine, a frequent collaborator on Jackass, is getting ready to produce a documentary that will be titled the Stolen Kingdom. The documentary will chronicle the rowdy history of Walt Disney World Resort. Tremaine is no stranger to debauchery, as he directed Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, and Jackass 3D in addition to the most recent Jackass film, Jackass Forever, which was released earlier this year. Stolen Kingdom is the first movie that Joshua Bailey and Sam Fraser have directed together; it is also their first feature film. The working title for the upcoming documentary, which contains the text “Bad Things Happen at the Happiest Place on Earth,” has been made public. The title treatment consists of newspaper clippings superimposed on a sinister black and red background, which generates a variety of different types of mysteries.

Stolen Kingdom will cover a time period of thirty years and investigate all of the outrageous hijinks that have occurred at Walt Disney World Resort. One of these shenanigans involves the theft of a very valuable audio-animatronic from the attraction formerly known as Cranium Command, which is no longer operating. The animatronic eventually fetched a price of close to $500,000 when it was put up for sale on the black market. When asked how he became involved in the project, Tremaine stated, “Josh and Sam somehow found me and introduced me to this story I found to be so compelling.” Not only this story, but also the work of these young filmmakers was motivational for me. As someone who has participated in some of the mischiefs that have taken place at Disneyland, I am thrilled to be a part of this.

Stolen Kingdom is a film that Tremaine is producing under the banner of his own production company, Gorilla Flicks. Tremaine has recently been enjoying a great deal of success in his role as a producer, particularly after having played the role of an executive producer on the documentary film Bad Axe. The story of an Asian American family attempting to make their way in Trump’s America in the year 2020 is told in Bad Axe. The movie was given the Audience Award at this year’s SXSW and is currently the title holder for the documentary film that has received the most awards in 2022.

Tremaine, along with Spike Jonze and Johnny Knoxville, was a co-creator of the first Jackass television series, which aired on MTV for a total of three seasons in the early 2000s. The director also made frequent appearances in the series, playing the role of himself. Tremaine remained true to his roots and worked as an executive producer on a number of reality television shows that featured a heavy emphasis on daredevil stunts. These shows include Ridiculousness, Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory, Nitro Circus, and Loiter Squad. The Dirt, a biopic on Motley Crüe that was released on Netflix, is one of Tremaine’s other directing credits. He was also the director of Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. In addition to making an appearance in the upcoming documentary titled “The Brandon Novak Story,” the former cast member of Jackass will take on the role of director for the upcoming sixth season of “The Eric Andre Show.”

At this time, there is no scheduled release date for the Stolen Kingdom.
