However, there are a few commonly experienced problems by almost everyone is acne, boils, infected wounds, open sores, abrasions, pimples, patches, rashes, etc. But thankfully, there are effective pimple treatments to free you from your skin disease.

Understanding our skin

Skin is the largest part of our whole body. It contains blood vessels, sentry receptors, nerves, and sweat glands. It is made up of two things namely the dermis and epidermis. Its thickness varies from one and a half to about four millimeters or even more. Our skin acts as the first-line defense against any infection as long as it stays intact. The thick outer layer of the tissue which is strong and tough is the epidermis. The dermis is the strong and flexible second layer of connective tissue. It is filled with blood vessels. The hypodermis is right below the skin and it’s the fatty layer. It is also called the subcutaneous layer.

The most commonly spread skin diseases are of several types.

The bacteria group

The first one is called staphylococcus aureus. Otherwise called staph. It is a bacterium commonly found on the skin and in the nose for few individuals. Mostly they don’t cause any harm. The infection can look like, little tiny pimples or boils, or other skin conditions. Most of them are capable of being treated.

The virus group

The most common is herpes simplex. It is generally found in the face, especially the lips, but can also be seen on the scalp, or the arms, the neck, and on the upper part of the chest. Small round blisters when broken may secrete a little lighter yellowish fluid, which is highly contagious. People contract herpes by touching infected saliva and other mucus membranes on the skin.

The same type of fungus is named differently as Athlete’s foot, Jock itch, and Ringworm.

It causes red, patchy, flaky, itchy areas. It is very contagious and easily spreads from one person to another. It spreads when someone touches the infected area on another person or a contaminated surface like a shower or a floor.

The affected areas are to be kept clean and neat. Or, it has to be treated with the help of medications once and for all.

People with the following conditions are more prone to skin disorders.

The one very most common problem is ‘the pimple problem’ This is a problem that we all go through in our lifetime. Why do we get them? Pimples can also be known as, blemishes, blackheads, whiteheads, zits, etc. It is a common part of the puberty phase. Almost 8/10 teens undergo this issue can be done in simple ways. Pimples occur due to the hair follicles in your skin that contain sebaceous glands also known as oil glands. These glands make an oil called sebum that comes on the surface through the pore and lubricates your hair and skin. These glands usually make the right amount of sebum, but as you hit puberty the body begins to attain growth and hormones stimulate the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum. As the glands produce more sebum inside the pores, the new skin cells are also continuously growing. As well as the outer layers of skin start shedding. Sometimes, these dead skin cells are not shed and block the pores, which results in the accumulation of an extra amount of sebum and forms a bump around it. The bacteria take sebum as their food and build their colonies around the extra sebum eventually starts to multiply causing an infection. When the blood comes to resolve the issue, turns the infected area in the color of red, whereas the immune cells attack the bacteria and kill them. This results in the swelling and formation of a pimple. Squeezing pimples should be avoided as it does more harm than good. Pimple treatment can be homemade or doctors suggested.
