Kim Kardashian Fears She is ‘Becoming like a Full Robot’ With ‘No Emotion’ After Surviving the 2016 Paris Robbery

Kim Kardashian is looking for answers about how her prior experience impacted her mental health.

Kim, 43, opened up to her sister Khloé Kardashian about going to therapy on the July 18 episode of The Kardashians, saying she’s had breakthrough moments with her mental health and went into detail about how the 2016 Paris heist she was engaged in left significant scars on her brain.

“My therapist said, ‘You think calm is your superpower.'” “I believe you are so desensitized to trauma that you are literally frozen in fight or flight,” she recounted. “So she was like, ‘Once in your life, something occurred, and you kept cool, and it worked for you. “So you will always choose calm.”

After hearing her narrative, Khloé, 40, speculated that the Paris heist may be the trauma driving her ability to stay calm.

“You were not calm before. “Kim, you were a lunatic,” she said, remembering how Kim would flip out over little matters like someone touching her clothing. “You became calm.”

“You were never calm as a teenager, let alone in your 20s,” Khloé added. “You sobbed over everything. You were a brat. You had tantrums. Everything came to a halt when you were robbed because you remained cool in the crisis and even said, ‘My composure is what saved me alive.'”

“That’s when it began.”It doesn’t take an f—ing detective to figure that out,” she said.

Kim spoke with cameras in a private talk about her robbery and how the horrific occurrence has impacted her now.

“Imagine you’re with a gun to your head, tied up, and dragged across a hotel room, and the guy tells you, ‘Just like, stay calm and you’ll live.'” “And I did that,” she explained.

“It served me well at that time, and I think it saved my life,” she said. “But I think I’ve let it get too calm to where people could take advantage of my calmness or I’m just turning into a full robot with like, no emotion.”

On October 3, 2016, the SKIMS businesswoman was attacked at gunpoint at the No Address Hotel during Paris Fashion Week, when masked men took millions of dollars in jewels from her in the middle of the night, including a $4 million ring.

Kim discussed the incident for the first time on a 2017 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“They beg for money.”I said I don’t have any money,” she informed her sisters throughout the incident. “They pulled me out into the hallway on top of the steps. That’s when I saw the rifle, as plain as day. I was gazing at the pistol and down the steps.”

“I was thinking; ‘I have a split second in my head to make this hasty choice,'” she went on.” “Am I going to sprint down the stairs and either be shot in the back? It makes me quite unhappy to think about it. Either they’ll shoot me in the back, or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator doesn’t open on time or the stairs are locked, then I’m f——. “There is no way out.”
