Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa have said their goodbyes to the series that started it all after 12 seasons and ten years. When the couple divorced in 2016, many anticipated the HGTV show to end, but they stuck it out. So, why are we doing this now?
Christina, engaged to Joshua Hall, indicated in the March 17 finale that she is no longer excited about the show and would instead devote her time to other ventures. “that continuing to house flip with you isn’t fair to you or me,” she informed her ex. “I won’t be able to be at these houses for you as much as I should. It’s been an incredible run.”
“There have been ups and downs,” she continued, “but it’s generally been wonderful.”
“I do wish her the best of luck,” Tarek acknowledged in a confessional, “but, sometimes in life, change may be beneficial for everybody.”

Christina emphasized her enthusiasm for what’s to come in a second post and her relief that she won’t have to enter another abandoned property. “I’ll never forget some of the weird/gross places we’ve walked into, the incredible renovations, and all I learned about house flipping/design along the road,” she wrote. “The good news is that I’ll be bringing more incredible initiatives to Christina On The Coast shortly.”
Season finale
Tarek reflected on the “crazy ride” he and Christina took more than a decade ago after the season finale. He wrote on Instagram, “it’s impossible to describe in a post what this show and experience has meant to me.” “It feels like I have a large family worldwide after an entire decade of filming Flip or Flop.”
