In a recent interview, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie shared her wish to spend considerable time in Cambodia after leaving Los Angeles.
Jolie, currently entangled in a contentious feud with her former husband, Brad Pitt, revealed her plans in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter. She expressed a desire to move out of Los Angeles following her divorce battle and to travel globally to visit family members.
During the interview, Jolie was asked if she plans to stay in Los Angeles after her children are grown. She responded, “I grew up in this town, and I’m here because of the divorce. But once they turn 18, I’ll be free to leave. With a big family, you want privacy, peace, and safety. Although I have a home here for my children, sometimes this place feels different from the humanity I’ve experienced around the world.”
She further mentioned, “After leaving Los Angeles, I plan to spend a lot of time in Cambodia and visit my family members wherever they may be around the world.”
In the interview, Jolie was also asked about the status of her divorce, but she chose not to comment.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have six children: Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (20), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16). Their high-profile split, announced in 2016, has dragged on for eight years with no resolution in sight, and their feud has grown increasingly bitter. They remain entangled in a lengthy legal battle over their $164 million French winery. The former couple has largely avoided each other at major events and award shows, ensuring their paths rarely intersect.
Recently, Angelina Jolie attended the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of her upcoming film Maria, where she received an emotional eight-minute standing ovation.
The film, Maria, explores the final chapter of Maria Callas’ life in 1977. It depicts the opera diva’s struggles with substance abuse, a deteriorating voice, and significant weight loss during her time in Paris, leading up to her untimely death from a heart attack at 53. Angelina’s portrayal captures this poignant period, highlighting the complexities of a woman who, despite once being at the peak of her career, faced profound personal challenges in her later years.
