Cuckoo is a new psychological horror film starring Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer, about an adolescent who unwillingly moves to the German Alps.
The 2024 film is the newest addition to Neon’s schedule, which includes films like Parasite, Titane, Infinity Pool, and Possessor. As a consequence, they have become associated with frightening movies. Cuckoo seems to be no exception, since it is Tilman Singer’s second feature film, after his first, Luz, about a teenage taxi driver tortured by a demonic force.
When is the release date for Cuckoo?
Cuckoo is set for release on August 9, 2024. The independent horror film will be released exclusively in cinemas, competing against the video game film Borderlands, starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Hart, and the sports drama The Fire Inside, starring Brian Tyree Henry. The film was initially supposed to be released on May 3, 2024, but was postponed.
Cuckoo previously had its global debut at the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2024. The film was further shown at SXSW and the Overlook Film Festival.
