Antimony Resources Expands Mineralization at Canadian Discovery

The strategic importance of securing critical mineral supplies in North America has intensified, particularly following China’s significant restrictions on antimony exports implemented in December 2024. Antimony Resources is positioning its Bald Hill project in Canada as a direct response to this supply chain pressure. Recent field work has now revealed that a mineralization zone discovered just this January is substantially more extensive than initial estimates indicated.

Drilling Progress and Project Scale

The company’s management is concurrently advancing a major drilling program focused on the project’s principal zone. To date, approximately 6,500 meters of a planned 10,000-meter campaign have been completed. Core samples from this drilling have consistently confirmed the presence of antimony ore across a strike length of 700 meters. This ongoing work forms the backbone of the project’s development strategy.

New Zone Shows Promising Dimensions and Grade

In a Thursday update, the exploration firm reported encouraging results from a western area known as the Marcus Zone. Geological teams, working roughly 30 meters south of the original discovery point, encountered additional rock containing antimony. This extends the mineralized structure exposed earlier this year to a length of approximately 80 meters.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?

The quality of this new find is robust. The exposed vein averages three to four meters in width and carries antimony grades between three and four percent. This concentration level matches the grade already established in the project’s known main zone.

Next Steps: Shifting Focus to Central Zone

With the current sampling work in the western section nearing completion, operational focus is set to shift. Crews will next target the central zone, located south of the main area. Historical records suggest this central zone holds antimony grades of 2.8 percent across an eight-meter width. The relocation of drilling equipment to this area is imminent, marking the next concrete step in the exploration schedule over the coming weeks.

The broader context for these activities extends far beyond the local project in New Brunswick. Western supply chains for antimony—a metal essential for defense and technology applications—face considerable strain due to the recent Chinese export constraints. Antimony Resources’ systematic exploration efforts are aimed at establishing Bald Hill as a viable North American supply alternative in this tightening market.
